Guimet Museum - museum of Asian art

Industrialist Emile Guimet may not have been an artist himself, but his collection of Asian artwork was in itself worthy of a full-scale museum. It was founded during his lifetime and has never ceased growing richer in artwork since.
The French Indochina collections, along with French archaeological collections, add a great deal to the overall effect. The restoration that lasted from 1996 to 2000 has left a more contemporary setting for the visitor - admire works coming from Afghanistan, India, Vietnam, Cambodia, China, Korea and Indonesia…
