Giant photographs scattered across the Parc de la Villette in Paris give this green space a surreal air. All photographs are by Chinese contemporary artist Li Wei, known worldwide for his unique style. His photographs depict himself, alone or with others, in confusing or arresting positions: hanging by his arms from a street lamp, leaping into the air, chased by missiles, or thrown in the air like a stick by a woman's arm... the artist Li Wei plays with strange and irrational situations, always carried by a desire for weightlessness as part of the human condition.
